In December 2023 Detina presented a fascinating talk at TEDx Swansea covering Genomic Medicine, AI and Space Science. She even unveiled a custom-made DNA outfit to dramatically draw attention to genomics and the importance of the 'language of DNA' that every person shares.  

Previously, Detina and her twin sister chronicled their harrowing escape from the Albanian civil war. While they were barely teenagers, because of their multi-lingual skills, they guided their parents through Europe. Eventually the family located in the UK. They presented their story at TEDx Swansea in June 2022.
